Alice Marie Coats, age 63 of Gassville, Arkansas died October 12, 2021 after a short illness.

She was born January 25, 1958 in Aurora, Missouri.  She was the only daughter to the late William “Carl” and Katherine Coats. She was raised in Ava, MO, and graduated from Ava in 1976.

She will be greatly missed by her church family.

Alice loved time with her family which always involved playing games, eating good food and visiting.  She enjoyed photography and traveling, most recently visiting the Badlands in South Dakota in September, and found that to be her favorite place.

Alice is preceded in death by her dad, William “Carl” Coats.

Alice is survived by her mom, Katherine Coats, Mountain Grove, MO. Brothers Bill and wife Sherrie Coats, Ava, MO. Terry and wife Diane, Mountain Grove, MO.  Niece Shannon and husband John Cornelison, and their daughters Chloe, Lilly and Mady, of Dadeville, MO. Remembering many years with Alice at East Side Baptist Church, Mountain Home, Ar. Special remembrance of Wednesday night Bible study & Prayer time. Alice always shared a table with several friends where we studied the Bible, prayed, and of course being Baptist enjoyed good food together. She will be missed.

Loved Alice so much. We shared Sunday School at East Side, Bible studies, played Bunco and other ladies groups. She was always smiling and glad to share whatever she had with others. She will be missed greatly. Prayers for her family.

Alice was truly one of the sweetest, kindest, and most generous ladies we have ever known. We met Alice over twenty years ago at EastSide Baptist Church and have since shared the same Sunday school class. She always organized our Fall Festival booth and you could always count on Alice to be present and help out anytime the church doors were open. She volunteered in almost every capacity at our church. Alice was a hard worker and she had many friends. Everyone loved her genuine and gentle nature. We remember how excited she was when she moved into her new home. She was thankful and grateful for her blessings. Alice’s life always reflected the love of Jesus. She loved God, her family, her church, her friends and her coworkers. Alice enjoyed playing Bunco and we shared great fun and fellowship. We have so many fond memories of our sweet friend and we will miss her happy laugh. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family…
