Carolyn Thompson

​Carolyn Sue Thompson passed from this life on September 13, 2023, from her home near Ava, MO, with her loving family by her side.  She was born on August 27, 1943 in Topeka Kansas to parents Howard Dean and Ethel Mae(Keith) Wagner. 
On November 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Melvin Aaron Thompson and their union was blessed with one son.
Carolyn loved to sew and knit.  She knitted sweaters for her son Dale and had one ready if the Lord would have blessed her with a daughter.  Carolyn loved to make quilts for her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She also loved to make ceramic and porcelain.  Carolyn loved to ride horses due to her short stature she needed a boost to get on her horse and would only take a boost from her husband, Melvin.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Aaron, and her parents.
Carolyn will be missed by her son Dale (Traci) Thompson of the home, her grandsons Melvin Aaron Thompson (Mat), Cody Lane Thompson, and Jake Alan Thompson.  She will also be missed by her seven great-grandchildren, her sister Anita Brooks, and an Aunt Shirly Finuf.  Other family members and friends will miss Carolyn in their life.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 at The Rock United Pentecostal Church in Seymour, Missouri starting at 12:00.  Visitation will be held from 10 until service time.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 20232 at Half Day Cemetery Elmont, Kansas.
